Complications of COVID-19, Actor Mark Blum Dies
Mark Blum, an actor known for his roles in “Crocodile Dundee” and “Desperately Finding Susan,” has died of complications from COVID-19 at the age of 69.
The wife of Mark Blum, Janet Zarish said, Mark died at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, after being diagnosed with the coronavirus last week.
As quoted from the Metro website, a theater company in New York announced that Mark Blum had died and shared a touching message. “With love and a heavy heart, Playwrights Horizons paid tribute to Mark Blum, an old friend, and perfect artist who has passed away,” they wrote in a statement.
“Thank you, Mark, for everything you bring to our theater, and theaters and audiences around the world. We will miss you.”
Words of condolence and condolences continue to flow. Actress Rosanna Arquette wrote on her Instagram account, “I am unfortunate for my family and her fans. She is an extraordinary actor and a perfect man. May you rest in peace and strength. God bless you.”
Author Mark Harris added, “Mark Blum is a great and powerful actor. A familiar face to anyone who watches TV, and has been a mainstay, for decades, of dozens of New York stage productions. May he rest in peace.”
